DESCRIPTION: The cranial ventral region of the lung has locally extensive, well delineated dark red discolouration. There is a nodular irregularity affecting about 50% of the surface and a small amount of pale yellow/grey material on the surface. There is regionally extensive congestion and haemorrhage affecting the opposing parietal pleura on the reflected rib cage.

Dx: Severe, acute fibronecrotising bronchopneumonia.

Notifiable disease exclusion: Contagious bovine pleuropneumnia.

Actual case: Goat with shipping fever Pastueurella multocida.
